What should I know about Colors?

Computer monitors, tablets and phone screens vary significantly from one brand to the next, and the variations in available user settings are infinite. The colors displayed in product listings are the closest approximation of the item possible. We develop these using a name-brand monitor with typical settings.

Returns and exchanges for color are limited to cases where we ship an item which is not what you ordered. For example; you ordered Coral and we shipped Violet.

What about Taxes, Customs and VAT?

Sales Taxes – Tee Zen Designs does not generally charge state sales tax, as we are located in New Hampshire, USA. 

Customs – Most of our customers will not experience customs fees, as we endeavor to ship your merchandise from the most cost-effective location. However, customs may occasionally be required. We generally can not predict this. Customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns due to unexpected customs fees.

VAT (Value Added Tax) – Due the the variety of potential scenarios requiring VAT, and the range of rates, we currently handle such orders on a case-by-case basis. Should you place an order which results in the requirement to pay VAT, we will contact you with the details before shipping. You will have the option to cancel the order at that time.

Will all of my merchandise be shipped together?

In order to offer the variety of products our customers desire, we work with a number of select workshops. We commission them to finish and ship your merchandise directly to you.

Occasionally, orders will contain products which are completed by more than one workshop. As a result, these orders will not ship together with those completed by others.

Additionally, different types of merchandise may ship separately depending on packing requirements.

We understand that this may be a little frustrating. However, it is necessary in order to provide the variety of quality merchandise we offer.

How much does Shipping cost?

Effective July 1, 2020 all Tee Zen Designs merchandise includes free standard shipping to locations nearly everywhere in the world.
Expedited shipping – at a small additional fee – is expected to be available in the near future.

How do I care for my merchandise?

Merchandise will include care instructions when you receive it.
With rare exception, printed and embroidered garments should be turned inside out and washed in cold water.

Do you ship everywhere?

Currently we serve almost every country internationally.

Exceptions: Tee Zen Designs are not available for purchase in/shipment to Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria

What are you doing for the Environment?

We look for suppliers with a strong focus on the environment. For example those that maintain state-of-the-art equipment which, among other things, uses minimal water. They also source materials, including inks and dyes, which are the safest available for the ecology and people. Our suppliers also work to minimize waste in packaging and source eco-friendly packaging materials. Many of the packaging materials are either recyclable or biodegradable.

Tee-Zen Designs is focusing on products which are eco-friendly as well. We are actively researching new products which are reusable and/or created from sustainable materials. As we’re able, we are adding them to – or replacing existing items in – our catalog.

Why doesn’t merchandise ship immediately?

As a design studio, we contract our production out to a very select group of workshops. Many of them put the final touches on merchandise as orders arrive. This may take a few days from order to shipment. 

This is done to reduce long-term waste, and handle a wider variety of design work, while maintaining the quality we want for our customers.

Are there restrictions on Coupons, Sales and Discounts?

Tee Zen Designs occasionally offers discounts in the form of coupons, sales, and bulk discounts.

When offered, coupons can be found on our website and through email newsletters. Enter coupons at checkout in the “Have a Coupon?” area. Coupons usually can not be combined with sale prices or bulk discounts.

Products which are on sale will display the sale price along with the original price. These discounts are applied automatically when the product is added to your shopping cart.

Why is there an EFTA surcharge on my order?

Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland make up the membership of the European Free Trade Association. These countries charge additional fees (or tariffs) on merchandise shipped from countries not in that association. As much as we are able to include shipping to most countries at no additional charge, this fee exceeds what we are able to cover and still remain minimally profitable. As a result, we add a small surcharge to orders being shipped to these countries. We do endeavor to keep EFTA surcharge as minimal as possible.

What are the rules for your Social Media contests?

Tee Zen Designs occasionally runs contests on our social media accounts. We usually focus on expanding our brand following by using giveaways so you could win something for helping us out. Here are the official rules for our giveaway contests:

  • Your participation must be on the platform(s) specifically indicated in the contest announcement.
  • You must be 18 years of age to participate and contests offering a choice of design may limit which designs are available to those under 21.
  • You must reside in the United States to participate in our contests.
  • Your participation specifically releases the utilized social media platform(s) of any involvement or responsibility for the contest.
  • You are not required to make any purchases to participate. Any related giveaways will be at no merchandise or shipping expense to the recipient.
Other rules may apply to individual contests and will be included in the specific contest announcement.

What is your return policy?

Tee Zen Designs accepts exchanges for replacement merchandise in the following situations:

  • Defective Merchandise
  • Defective or Incorrect decoration
  • Incorrect Size (You ordered Medium and received Extra Large)
  • Incorrect Color (You ordered Blue and received Yellow)

To arrange an exchange, please email support (support@tee-zen.com) within fourteen calendar days of receipt. Include as much information as possible. Order number, date, an explanation of your concern, and photos of what you received are always very helpful in expediting your request. Be prepared to ship the item to our returns address within 30 days of receipt. Exchanges must be arranged through us. Returning merchandise without contacting us first is at your own risk.

All other sales are final.

What should I know about Sizes?

Sizes vary from one manufacturer to the next and have different interpretations all over the world. Every product we sell includes size details specific to that merchandise.
